Aston Villa and Southampton are both considering bids to sign Porto and Senegal defender Abdoulaye Ba on loan.
Swansea City have reportedly tabled a £2.5m bid for Getafe striker Alvaro Vazquez.
Manager David Moyes is considering a move for Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala as he looks to strengthen his Manchester United defence before next Monday's transfer deadline.
After fighting off approaches from Chelsea for strlker Wayne Rooney Moyes is set to turn the tables with a £30m offer for versatile Brazilian David Luiz.
Crystal Palace have joined Everton in a battle to sign Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton and have been told he is available for a £3m fee.

Gareth Bale and Real Madrid expect the player world-record £86m move from Tottenham to go through despite the forward being forced to return to London from his weekend trip to Spain.
There are reports that the Bale transfer has been stalled by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy because he is frustrated with the manner of Real's approach.
Manchester United have been told they have a chance of landing the Wales international, but it will cost £125m to sign him.
Manchester United will make a £20m bid for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini before the champions' game against Liverpool on Sunday.
Striker Karim Benzema playmaker Mesut Ozil and winger Angel Di Maria could all be sold to Premier League clubs by Real. Their sales would fund the Spanish side's moves for Bale and Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
Ozil and Di Maria are Arsenal targets, but any deal depends on Bale moving to Real Madrid.
Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye has decided he wants to move to Arsenal.
Newcastle will make an opening offer of £8m to Wigan for midfielder James McCarthy. The player is being lined up as a replacement for Arsenal target Cabaye.

Gareth Bale is free to join Real Madrid after Tottenham agreed a world record £86m deal with the Spanish side.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has refused to rule out the possibility of offering Juan Mata to Manchester United as part of the deal to sign Wayne Rooney.
Mourinho believes Rooney's desire to leave Manchester United is David Moyes's fault for suggesting the striker would be a second-choice player this season.
Chelsea still want to sign Rooney despite their interest in Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o.
Arsenal believe they can still persuade Rooney to sign for them, with manager Arsene Wenger also keen on QPR keeper Julio Cesar.
Tottenham are preparing a £30m bid for Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk as well as a £26m deal to sign Roma striker Erik Lamela.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants Chelsea winger Victor Moses on a season-long loan at Anfield.
Arsenal have been told they must pay £20m if they are to sign Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Paris St-Germain are set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye by offering £17m for the player.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to make a £10m bid for Newcastle's keeper Tim Krul.
Wenger is also set to increase his bid to £17m for Krul's team mate, Cabaye, while the Arsenal boss is also eyeing Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria.
The Gunners could also make a new bid for Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita after the La Liga club rejected an opening £4m offer for the player.
